Iron Man mode is, according to the in-game description: "an extreme challenge intended only for the most powerful gamers." This serves as Beastieball's equivalent of a Nuzlocke or permadeath challenge.

It comes in two variants: the normal Iron Man mode, and the Impossible mode.

Rules

Iron Man

  • Any beastie that falls to 0 stamina will not recover
  • Jerseys are only rewarded for each boss defeated
  • You can only forfeit matches with normal, wild beasties
  • You gain no EXP from losing matches
  • If your whole team is wiped out, you lose

If the player loses the challenge, they can either end it and continue the save file as normal, or leave the challenge in an incomplete state.

Impossible Mode

  • All previous rules for Iron Man apply
  • You can heal at each Railhouse and Campsite only once
  • You earn less money than usual

Additional changes

  • Enemy AI is adjusted to better fit Ironman mode
  • Some special matches, such as the random damage match with Barnes McBride, do not happen as usual
