"They lack any aggression at all. Using their tail as a lure, they invite other Beasties into their burrow to offer them food."
—Beastiepedia

Diggum is a Beastie.

They have an Extinct form, Duggout, which they can achieve by boosting their Spirit POW to +3 or more, then dealing 100 or more damage with an attack.

Biology

Diggum is a bipedal, mammalian Beastie with a large build. They have tan fur that becomes darker brown on their lower body, with stripes of darker brown on their upper chest and arms. They have small, beady eyes and a pink nose with two nostrils, and there are spots of dark brown fur around their eyes and on their cheeks. They have small pointy ears on the top of their head, which are pink on the inside and have white fur around the rim. They have very large hands that they constantly hold in front of them, and there are large black digging claws hidden behind the fur. They have small feet with claws and tan fur on the toes, and they have a very thin tail that is tipped with a large tuft of white fur, resembling a cotton ball.

In Diggum's Raremorph form, their fur becomes darker brown and a bit more saturated, their nose and ear insides become darker tan, and their ear and tail tufts become a dull beige.

Trivia

  • Diggum's internal name is "bestie". It also has a listed old internal name, "caretaker".
    • "bestie" is also listed as an old internal name, despite being its current internal name. This may suggest Diggum's internal name was planned to change.
  • In the June 2024 Playtest, Diggum's recruit condition was "Heal 2+ times."

Origin

Diggum is at least partially based on a mole, as evidenced by their nose, large claws, and tendency to burrow in the ground. The mounds of dirt they are found in also resemble molehills.

Name origin

Diggum may be a corruption of the phrase "dig 'em."
