Raremorph
Raremorph beasties have a different color palette from their normal counterparts. This is distinctly different from beasties with alternate color palettes. Raremorphs have no statistical advantage over other beasties, but they look nice.
Raremorph hunting
Raremorph beasties appear in the wild only if the player has a Jersey at a sufficient level to recruit them. They also usually do not appear unless the beastie in question has been fully researched. Additionally, they always appear in the overworld, and do not appear as "extra" beasties in wild matches.
Wild Raremorph beasties will visibly sparkle, and play a sparkling sound effect to alert the player.
Tips
Attract Spray of any level will double the chances of finding Raremorphs. Beasties will be reloaded any time you leave and enter a room, or rest at a campsite.
Forfeiting or losing a match will not despawn any Raremorph beasties, but winning will. Make sure you recruit any Raremorphs before you win. Saving your game before playing a Raremorph is also recommended.
Raremorph Tracker
After winning a match against Indie in Domain Park, you can install a Raremorph Tracker for your Beastiepedia. This displays a sparkle icon if you have caught a Raremorph of a beastie. It also allows you to view the color variations of Raremorphs in the "Morphology" section of any Beastie's page, so long as you've recruited a Raremorph of that species.
Indie will also let you find roaming Raremorph beasties that you did found in the past, but did not recruit.
Radar
SPOILER WARNING This section contains endgame spoilers for Beastieball! Consider yourself warned. |
After completing Reese's final Hangout after the Crown Series, his Radar favor is unlocked. This allows you to temporarily increase the spawn rate of a certain beastie, as well as increasing the chance to find a Raremorph beastie.
Trivia
- Indie's Baja#04 and Jack's Lioness#03 are the only Raremorphs seen on the team of an NPC.
