Sprecko
"Its body is covered in microscopic fungal feelers, making it feel sticky. They tend to all varieties of plant life." —Beastiepedia
Sprecko is a Beastie. A Sprecko joins the player's team at the beginning of the game, regardless of which starter Beastie they choose.
They metamorph into:
- Illugus at Miconia Grove.
- Surgus at Cerise Atoll.
- Bongus at Rutile Nature Preserve.
Biology
Sprecko is a bipedal, reptilian Beastie. They have light green skin, with stripes and patches of pale yellow-green across their head, knees, and ends of their limbs. Their head is large and round, with protrusions on the top and sides that resemble plant sprouts, and they have a small snout and large eyes with dark green irises. They have very short arms and large knees, with three digits on their hands and feet. They have a tapering tail with the same plant-like protrusions as on their head, and it is covered in three large berries that can be one of many colors, such as red, yellow, black, and purple.
In Sprecko's Raremorph form, their skin becomes light tan with darker brown stripes and patches, and their irises become a dull beige. There is no change to the colors their berries can be.

Trivia
- Sprecko's internal name is "shroom1". It also has an old internal name, "tree1", which may imply a different design theme.
- Some of this original "tree" concept can be seen in the concept art for its final Extinct form.
Origin
Sprecko is based on a gecko; the fungal feelers on their skin are similar to the microscopic protrusions that cover the skin of geckos, making their skin ultrahydrophobic.
Name origin
Sprecko may be a combination of spore and gecko.
