The Rutile All-stars
The Rutile All-stars are a low-rank team in the Beastieball League. They are coached by Marlin. They can be found in Rutile, and are one of three ranked teams in Amberstone.
Teams
Marlin uses this team against the player in their first ranked match. He does not actually try to win, instead teaching the player about no-touch points.

Story
At the start of the game, when the player and Riley are young, they watch recorded footage of Marlin's championship match with the Rutile All-stars. The team was very successful at the time and represents their hometown.
In the present day, the team has fallen out of the rankings. Although the people of Rutile recognize that they were once great, they know their team is not what it used to be. Their low standing is even the reason the League is able to start construction in the Rutile Nature Preserve, regardless of its environmental importance.
In order to protect the Preserve, Riley suggests that the player take over as Rutile's coach. Marlin gives them two jerseys and waits for them to return with their Beasties, and then schedules a match between them and the Rutile All-stars.
Instead of playing an unfair match, Marlin takes the opportunity to teach the player about no-touch points, which can be earned without doing damage at all. Using this strategy, the player is able to defeat the once championship level team with only their two newly recruited Beasties.
Trivia
- All Beasties on the Rutile All-stars are named in reference to a Pokémon game, and their numbers represent the year in which that game came out.
- Yamyth was not a member of the team prior to the June 2024 Preview Playtest.
